Wednesday 28 - presentation time!

Since it's Wednesday, we have a short period. We had two presentations this class; ours and Fernanda's.
I think ours went pretty well, it was organized and I think we presented our ideas clearly. It still would've been more entertaining if we had the filmed part, but oh well. Fernanda's presentation was also good, it was funny. I will post the video of our presentation on my blog later.

Today was the last class before the mid-term grades were submitted. I'm kind of confused on how I'm going to be graded because I came in late. I hope I have enough material to get a good grade, so my GPA doesn't get lower.

Monday 26 - presentations

Today most of the groups presented. At first I was kind of freaked out because Alex and Javier, who presented first, had a really PRO presentation, so yeah... our's wasn't as descriptive as theirs. Pedro's presentation was also awesome. The class ended and we weren't able to present so Ms. Morrison told us to present on Wednesday. We haven't had class in a whole week because it was ICC so some periods were skipped.

We didn't make the filmed part of the presentation because our after-school activities never coincided in time. When I had time, Antonio didn't; or when Fiorella had time, Sebastian didn't.

Monday 19 - fail

Today we were going to film the project because we thought that we had to act it out, not present it in a power point or something like that. It was also the first day of ICC so everyone was kind of excited. We got into our costumes and got a camera. At first, we tried to film it in the classroom but there was too much noise coming from the other groups, so we decided to go to the little theater but that was also a bad idea because the light was weird and not as we -I'm a  weeeeiiinnnnnerrrr!- wanted them to be [dark and gloomy]. After deciding that we would not film it in school, we went to scare people in the library because we were dressed as witches with long cloaks and dark, creepy make-up. When we came back to the class they told us that we didn't actually have to film it, we could just make a presentation. We planned on filming it near Fiorella's house at night AND also presenting a power point.

Class #2 - 16/9/11

Today was a make-up class because yesterday we went to the college fair. We played some games at the beginning of class and then we saw a video about Chinese opera and discussed on how it is important to maintain one's culture. After that, we got together with out Lysistrata groups and planned on how we should present it. Our group decided that we would film it and that we would be witches, casting some sort of spell on our husbands. We will film the first part outside a creepy house near where Fiorella lives, and then we may film the rest of it in Fiorella's house, because we need somewhere that has low lights so it gives a mysterious mood to the skit. We are still trying to figure out what to wear, but it's basically going to be black clothes with a black cape on top, and Antonio and Sebastian are going to wear long wigs, so that might be funny. What we want to represent by acting as witches, is that witches are often represented as having great power, and women in Lysistrata also had a lot of power. We have an inbox on Facebook where we will coordinate what to wear, the dates, and everything related to our project.
